A road has been closed after two cars collided near Tovil this afternoon.

Police officers, paramedics and Kent Fire and Rescue responded and a woman was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.

Kent Police confirmed that they were called just before 1.15pm on Thursday, October 11 after two cars crashed on Dean Street, near Tovil.

The road between Lower Road and Burial Ground Lane was re-opened just after 7.10pm after the cars were recovered.
