Emergency services attended the scene.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at 6.15am to a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on the M20.

"The collision happened in the London bound carriageway, close to the junction for West Malling.

"Officers and ambulance crews attended the scene and the motorcyclist was treated for injuries, which were not serious."

Lanes two and three were originally closed but have now reopened, although motorists are warned to expect severe delays as far back as junction 8 (for Leeds).

The delays caused traffic to build around the motorway and Maidstone.

Heavy traffic was reported on the A249 Detling Hill, as well as Blue Bell Hill and the A20 in Ditton, Leeds and Hollingbourne.

The A228 Castle Way in Leybourne also felt the knock-on effects of the delays, with heavy traffic reported.

Delays have now cleared.
