Road works set to start in Sutton Valence, Tunbridge Wells, Lenham, Penshurst, Chart Sutton, East Farleigh, Sevenoaks and East Malling

Motorists in west Kent may need to plan alternative routes in the run up to several road closures.

Kent Highways have announced the start of eight repairs that will require closures and likely cause disruption.

These works will affect routes throughout Maidstone, Malling, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks from Monday.

In Sutton Valence, Chapel Road between Broad Street and Rectory Lane will be closed for five days to allow for urgent carriageway repairs.

Headcorn Road in Lenham will be closed for a week between the junctions with Lenham Road and Chain Gate Road due to works by BT.

In Chart Sutton, Warmlake Road will also be closed for 10 days due to works by UK Power Networks and in East Farleigh, Vicarge Lane will be shut for three days due to water meter installation works by South East Water.

Malling drivers should be aware that Lydens Lane, Sevenoaks, will be closed for three days and Wateringbury Road, East Malling, will be closed for a week from The Rocks Road to Belvidere Oast due to urgent carriageway repair works.

In Tunbridge Wells, Little Mount Sion will be closed for five days between the junctions with Warwick Road and Berkeley Road and in Penshurst, Broad Lane will shut for 12 days at the junction of Broad Lane and Chafford Lane due to power works.
