Thieves broke into the pavilion's changing rooms and took car keys belonging to Mr Lowe and another West Farleigh player.

Detectives investigating the burglary have since found the car which was abandoned in Crispin Court, Coxheath, on Wednesday.

Forensics currently have the car for checks and Mr Lowe believes the car became too hot to handle following an appeal published on Kent Online.
