A SCHOOL teacher who "demeaned and frightened" primary school pupils has been suspended from teaching for 18 months.

Angela Letteboer, formerly of Madginford Park Junior School, Bearsted, near Maidstone, was found guilty of unacceptable professional conduct by England’s General Teaching Council.

She was also found guilty of serious professional incompetence at the Birmingham hearing after failing to meet performance standards in several areas.

Ms Letteboer must now complete further training courses in teaching and behaviour management before being restored to the teaching register.
