A 19-year-old found dead in a top floor flat on Christmas Day has been named by police.

Parwin Quriashi was found on Tuesday at around 1.20pm at Kentish Court, off London Road, Maidstone, with serious injuries. She was confirmed dead at the scene.

Her husband Mohammad Quoraishi is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court charged with her murder this morning.

The 27-year-old, of London Road, Maidstone, was charged late last night after Kent Police were given authorisation by the Crown Prosecution Service.
