Teenager hit by car in Sutton Road, Maidstone

A teenage girl suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car.

The collision, involving a white BMW and the pedestrian, happened in Sutton Road, Maidstone, near its junction with Nottingham Avenue.

It happened at about 8pm last night.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

A spokesman said: "The pedestrian, a 13-year-old girl, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital where she remains in a stable condition.

"Officers are working to establish the circumstances of the collision and would urge those who have dash cam footage from the area around the time of the collision to contact them."
