Top seed Chris Ryder triumphs at The Mote Classic Pro-Am

England’s Chris Ryder overcame Australian Aaron Frankcomb in the final of The Mote Classic Pro-Am squash tournament on Sunday.

Top seed Ryder, ranked 36 in the world, won an entertaining final 11-13, 13-11, 11-2, 11-6 at The Mote Squash Club, Maidstone.

Ryder collected a £500 winner’s cheque, while world No.42 Frankcomb, the second seed at the Harrow and Shepherd Neame sponsored event, received £350.
