Maidstone: Crash outside Texaco garage closes Ashford Road

Emergency services are at the scene of a three-vehicle crash in Maidstone.

The accident outside the Texaco garage near the junction of Ashford Road and Square Hill happened at 2.30pm and has led to long delays in the area.

The Maidstone bound carriageway has been closed and traffic is being diverted down Square Hill, with one brand new Ford Mustang severely damaged after being hit by a lorry.

One man has been taken to hospital with a wrist injury and pain to the right side of his body.

South East Coast Ambulance Service said two other people were being treated at the scene.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended but no one was trapped.

The Bearsted bound lane remains open.
