Traffic was held on the M20 this afternoon following a two-vehicle crash.

There were long queues reported coastbound between J7 A249 (Maidstone/Detling Hill) to J8 A20 Ashford Road (Leeds Castle/Maidstone Services).

Two lanes were shut and all traffic temporarily held while the vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder.

It happened shortly before 5.45pm.

At 6.30pm traffic was said to be easing.
