A traffic warden was taken to hospital with an injured foot after being hit by a car in a car park.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a red or maroon-coloured Ford Fiesta was allegedly seen hitting the warden at around 8.45am yesterday in a car park in Beech Street.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

He was later released on bail until June 12.
