A woman was taken to hospital following a two vehicle crash on a busy town centre road.

She was driving a Nissan Micra which was involved in a collision with a lorry in College Avenue, Maidstone.

Kent Police were called at 8.23am and a spokesman said the driver of the lorry, and a passenger in the Micra, appeared to be uninjured.

Two police cars and an ambulance were sent to the scene.
