Police hunting a couple in connection with a string of thefts of designer glasses thefts have made two arrests.
A 59-year-old woman and 69-year-old man from London were apprehended on Thursday.
It came after officers released CCTV images of a couple suspected of taking £166,000 worth of high-end spectacles from Boots in King Street, and a further £10,000 from another Boots store in Essex.
It is understood that police approached the woman in Boots in Maidstone, after an eagle-eyed staff member spotted her. The man was later arrested at his home address.
Both have been released on bail until Friday, October 11, pending further inquiries.
