Two charged with stealing car after police halt vehicle on A20 in Harrietsham

Two men have been charged with stealing a car and other offences after police stopped them in the county.

Officers spotted the pair in a car on the A20 London Road, Harrietsham, at about 11pm on Friday, March 1, and thought it may have been stolen from Southall, London.

A search uncovered cash and an "identification document" believed to be false.

The pair were arrested.

Xhuliano Mucka, of no fixed address and 24 years old, was charged with taking acquiring criminal property, possessing an identity document that was improperly obtained with intent, taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

Florin Ajazi, of no fixed address and 26 years old, has been charged with acquiring criminal property and taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Both were remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
