Video gives glimpse into night of chaos after house party at airbnb pad in Plantation Lane, Bearsted

A video gives a glimpse into a night of chaos after people descended on a usually tranquil residential street for a house party at an airbnb.

Police were called after a fight broke out at Plantation Lane, Bearsted, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A video now shows groups of people gathering in the road at around 4.30am

One neighbour reported seeing blood stains on the road, although no injuries were reported to Kent Police, and another found a knife in their garden the next morning, which they believe was thrown over by party-goers.

The property host, who manages the building on behalf of the owners, told KentOnline it was booked for five people and the airbnb page states that "no parties or events" are allowed. She said they had to bring in professional cleaners to clear up the mess made.

At more than £800 a night, the swanky pad features a jacuzzi and a movie room and sleeps up to 10 people.

KentOnline reported yesterday how one neighbour described seeing "at least 100" young people "coming and going all night long".

She said: "It was just thumping music all night long, shouting...It was just horrendous," she said.

The woman says she phoned the police three times in the night, but that officers did not attend until she informed them a fight had broken out.

Today, another neighbour said: "It was very frightening. The noise was really bad, it went all over my house. I couldn't go to sleep until about 5am.

"On Sunday morning in the garden we found a knife, they had thrown it over."

She said it was a stainless steel kitchen knife.

She phoned the police about the noise at around 2.30am but was advised to ring the council. However, when she rang the council, no one answered.

"It was very loud, like kicking out time in a nightclub. I didn't see a fight, they looked like they were having an argument, a bit of a confrontation."

One nearby resident said people were being dropped off in cars throughout the night.

He said: "It's just something you don't expect, especially in a street like this, you see how quiet and tranquil it is all of the time.

He said during the fight there was "blood everywhere".

"There were blood stains on the road, spread out everywhere. We just saw pushing, shoving, kicking."

The altercation is believed to have ended by the time police arrived.

The airbnb host, who asked to remain anonymous, said this was the first time the property had been rented out.

"We worked very hard on the house, everything was new, this was my first guest, I was very excited.

She met the lady who had booked the house, and who seemed "lovely".

On Saturday, she drove past there at about 11pm and the house was quiet, she says.

"It was just an absolute mess, they had taken all of the furniture out..."

However, the next morning she woke up to messages from neighbours, and went round to the house.

"It was just an absolute mess, they had taken all of the furniture out, dining tables, sofas, everything. The floor were worse than a nightclub. Your feet just got stuck into everything."

There was also evidence of laughing gas use.

She said the situation was very upsetting.

"Seeing something you work so hard for being destroyed.... when you put loads of money and investment into something you want something out of it."

She added that the property is not a "party house".

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 4.26am on Saturday 30 May 2021 to reports of a disturbance in Plantation Lane, Bearsted.

"It is alleged several people were involved in a fight outside a property where a party had been held. Officers attended and an investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances and identify any suspects.
