Warrilow happy for players to let off steam

Hendon v Tonbridge Angels

Tonbridge Angels, who missed the chance to go second in the Ryman League Premier Division after throwing away a 3-1 lead in Tuesday's 3-3 draw at Sutton, will be fired up for Saturday's trip to Hendon after dressing-room emotions boiled over at Gander Green Lane.

Manager Tommy Warrilow, who closed the dressing-room door and let the players indulge in a heated debate, said: "I don't have a problem with players having a go at each other because it shows they have passion and commitment.

"They had their say on the night, I had mine at training on Thursday, but I'm bound to say that on the night it felt like a defeat."

He added: "The Hendon game is another big-one for us and I don't think I'll have a problem firing up the players."

The Angels boss must decide whether to recall leading scorer Carl Rook to the starting line-up after he came on as a late substitute at Sutton.

Defender Simon Glover, who missed Tuesday's match through flu, is expected to be fit but Michael Phillips is troubled by a knee ligament problem.
