Woman cut free from her car

A woman was cut free from her car after a crash in Maidstone today.

The accident happened at about 12.10pm in Stockett Lane at the junction of Busbridge Road.

Fire crews from Maidstone used hydraulic equipment to release the woman, who is believed to be in her 20s.

Her car, a Nissan Micra, was in collision with a Mercedes Sprinter van.

She was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Stockett Lane remained closed at 2pm while police supervised the vehicles’ removal.
