John Still's message to Blair Turgott after Maidstone United winger joins Ostersunds

Maidstone boss John Still has wished Blair Turgott well following the winger's move to Sweden.

Turgott joined Ostersunds on a three-year deal yesterday after scoring 18 goals for the Stones last season.

The 25-year-old had Football League options but has chosen to move abroad for the next step in a career that started as a boy at West Ham.

Still thinks Turgott has made the right decision.

He said: "I like to see English players go abroad because we get the foreign players come here.

"If he goes there and does well he may be able to come back here to a better opportunity than might have presented itself.

"I don't know what the opportunities were here for him but it's a lifestyle change, moving to Sweden, and I think it's good.

"I'm happy for him and I hope he does well."
