Maidstone United play-off hero Dumebi Dumaka set to leave the club this week

Promotion hero Dumebi Dumaka has played his last game for Maidstone.

The striker, who's been on loan at Concord, is set to leave the Gallagher this week.

It was Dumaka's goal in the dying seconds of extra-time that took the National South play-off final at Ebbsfleet to penalties.

There had been rumours of West Ham interest before he joined from Grays in February but he's been unable to force his way into Maidstone's National League side this season.

Dumaka has fallen further down the pecking order following the signings of Liam Enver-Marum and Yemi Odubade.

Stones boss Jay Saunders said: "D’s available, he’s speaking to a few clubs, so he will be leaving.

"Things change in football, we’ve stepped up a league and I think maybe it’s a step too far for him in a short space of time.

"I think he can get to a level where he’ll play here but the likes of Liam and Yemi, who’ve played it before, are ahead of him and I just think it'll be hard for him.

"He’s got a few options. I think early part of the week it’ll probably be the case where he will move on."
