Simon Gillham beats Brian Reffold 3-1 to win Dominick Lee Memorial pool competition at Aylesford Village Club

Simon Gillham was on good form to win the sixth Dominick Lee Memorial pool competition.

In a best-of-five final, he beat Brian Reffold, a previous winner of the tournament, 3-1.

The contest, which featured a group stage, quarter and semi-finals, was hosted by Aylesford Village Club and 13 players took part.

Dom, who died in 2017 after being diagnosed with prostate cancer, was a member of a group who played pool at the club on a Thursday.

A tournament has been held in his memory annually ever since, apart from one due to Covid, raising more than £3,000 for Prostate Cancer UK.
