Maidstone United fan falls from the upper tier of the Cobbold Stand at Portman Road celebrating his side’s first goal against Ipswich in FA Cup fourth round

A Maidstone fan fell from the upper tier of the stand celebrating his side’s opening goal in their FA Cup win at Ipswich.

The moment was captured by a home spectator filming from behind the goal at Portman Road.

The Stones supporter was seen tumbling from the Cobbold Stand after Lamar Reynolds put Maidstone 1-0 up.

It was previously suggested the incident happened after Sam Corne’s winning goal in the second half.

Ipswich are investigating.

In a statement, they said: “The club is aware of an incident involving a Maidstone United supporter in the Cobbold Stand at Portman Road during today’s Emirates FA Cup fourth-round fixture.
