Maidstone have a couple of long awaydays in their first month back in the National League.

United have started each of the previous six seasons at home but they’re on the road this time, with a trip to the north west to play Altrincham on August 6.

It’s more than 30 years since the clubs last met, the Stones winning 7-2 at home and 1-0 away during their Conference title-winning campaign under John Still in 1988/89.

Maidstone have back-to-back home games against fellow promoted clubs York and Dorking on August 13 and 16 respectively, before heading to north Wales to face title favourites Wrexham on August 20.

The Stones take on one of Hakan Hayrettin’s former clubs, Torquay, at the Gallagher on August 27 and complete the month at Aldershot on August 29.

Maidstone visit Dagenham on Boxing Day, with the return fixture at home on New Year’s Day, and finish the season at Chesterfield on April 29.
