Maidstone United to discuss Zavon Hines' future this week

Maidstone will hold contract talks with Zavon Hines this week amid rumours of Football League interest.

Hines signed a short-term deal until January when he joined the Stones as a free agent in August.

It's likely the former West Ham man, who missed the New Year's Day game against Dover through injury, has options to return to the Football League.

Stones boss Jay Saunders intends to discuss his future at training.

Saunders said: "He had a contract till January so it was always the case we were going to sit down in January.

"He's got a couple of weeks left on it and we'll have a talk.

"I don't know what his thoughts are.

"My thoughts have been concentrating on the games we've had so now we've got a quieter week we can sit and have a chat."
