By William Janes

Almost 800 homes were plunged into darkness for more than six hours after a power cut last night.

A total of 785 properties in West Malling lost electricity at around 5.20pm.

UK Power Networks engineers discovered a fault in overhead power lines which caused the problem and managed to restore electricity supply by 12.20pm.
