Car crashes into house on West Malling High Street

Inspectors are assessing the damage after a car crashed into a house in West Malling.

Police were called to the High Street just after 11.30am following a report that a car had driven into the front door of a property.

Witnesses reported seeing crowds gathering around the scene following the crash, in which no injuries were reported.

One shop owner along the High Street said: "A customer came in and told us there'd been a crash and that you could basically see someone's living room."

Zoe Francis, a supervisor at the Five Pointed Star pub, added: "I wasn't there when it happened but just saw it when I went to put the menus out."

The car has since been removed and the property boarded up.

Building inspectors are understood to be arranging an assessment of the damage to the property.
