Missing teenager Ryan Hughes is picked up on CCTV in Aylesford

A river search is taking place to find a missing teenager, a day after a CCTV image was released showing his last known of the last known movements.

Ryan Hughes, 17, from Eccles near Aylesford, was last seen in the Bull Lane area of the village at around 10.30pm on Thursday.

Not long afterwards a CCTV camera picked up the teenager walking along the High Street, Aylesford.

Police divers have been searching the River Medway on Monday.

The Search and Marine Unit of Kent Police has tweeted that it is searching the river along with volunteers from Kent Search and Rescue.

It added: "Thank you to the local community in Aylesford for your help today as well."

Mr Hughes is around 5ft 8 ins, slim built and has short brown hair.

He was wearing a navy hooded jacket with a white top underneath that had red sleeves, grey jogging bottoms and navy and white Adidas trainers.

Police are appealing for the public's help to find him as well as co-ordinating searches.

Anyone who sees Mr Hughes or knows where he is should call Kent Police on 101 quoting reference 18-0613.
