A25 Maidstone Road in Borough Green and St Mary’s Platt closed for emergency tree surgery works

A diversion has been put in place as a busy route has been closed for emergency works.

The A25 Maidstone Road in St Mary’s Platt was shut at 1.30pm today for tree surgery to be carried out and is set to remain so until 5pm.

The main road also passes through both Borough Green and Wrotham Heath.

Kent County Council (KCC) Highways has warned drivers to expect delays.

The road closure points include the A20 junction of A25 Wrotham Heath and Platt Industrial Estate, as well as the High Street, Station Road and Western Road in Borough Green.

A diversion route has been put in place.

Motorists are expected to go via the A227 Western Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A20 London Road and vice versa.
