Female horse rider 'immobilised' after fall in Red Hill, Wateringbury

A horse rider was rushed to hospital after falling off her horse.

Paramedics were called out to woodland near Red Hill in Wateringbury at around 6.30pm on Sunday.

Paramedics say the rider, a female whose age is unknown, was "immobilised for potential injuries".

Ambulance crews were joined at the scene by the Hazardous Area Response Team.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called amid fears the female was trapped, but firefighters were told to stand down by paramedics before arriving on the scene.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "A female horse rider, who had reportedly fallen from a horse, was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital for further treatment."
