Chatham man to face trial over Snodland petrol station assault in Holborough Road

A 21-year-old man has been charged with assault after allegedly dragging a woman along the floor and attempting to take her phone.

Odyssius Ojo, of Thorold Road, Chatham, was charged after officers were called to reports of a disturbance behind a petrol station in Holborough Road in Snodland just before 6.30pm on Tuesday.

The woman, who is known to the suspect, sustained minor injuries.

Police attended and carried out an area search, which resulted in the arrest.

Ojo was remanded in custody pending a court hearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded not guilty.

He is due to appear before the same court on June 7 to stand trial.
