Ditton: Pamela Gargaro named as East Sussex crash victim

A pensioner who was killed in a head-on crash has been identified.

Pamela Gargaro, of Ditton, near Aylesford, died at the scene of the two-car smash near Sedlescombe in East Sussex on Wednesday.

Her 74-year-old husband, who was driving, remains in a critical condition in hospital.

A four-year-old boy who was in the car with the couple broke his collar bone, while a woman and an eight-year-old girl who were travelling in the opposite direction received minor injuries.

The collision involving Mrs Gargaro's red Chevrolet Aveo and a silver Citroen C3 Picasso occurred in Kent Street shortly before 11.15am on Wednesday.
