Aylesford: Forstal Road blocked near Cobtree Manor Park due to collision

A man was left with a head injury after two cars crashed in a busy main road this morning.

The accident happened in Forstal Road, Aylesford just before 10.45am, leaving a large amount of oil and fuel in the road.

Two people were reported injured and police, paramedics and Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) were also called to the scene.

A man in his 50s was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital with a head injury.

The second patient was taken to Maidstone Hospital.

The road was closed between the Running Horse roundabout and Beddow Way while debris is cleared and the vehicles are recovered.

The A229 Chatham Road towards junction 6 of the M20 for Maidstone was congested at 12.20pm due to people using this route.

Forstal Road reopened at 1.45pm.
