Firearms arrest in East Malling sparks search for dog walker

Police want to speak to a dog walker after a man was spotted with an imitation firearm.

A man was spotted with what was thought to be a handgun behind East Malling Institute, sparking a search of the area on July 30.

At around 10pm a 31-year-old local man was arrested and a fake Airsoft hand gun was seized.

Officers have now established a woman walking a dog in the area may have spoken to the suspect.

It is hoped the woman can come forward and assist Kent Police's investigation.
