Casualty cut free after car hits tree in Hildenborough

A woman has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after crashing her car into a tree.

The crash, which happened in Nizels Lane, Hildenborough just before 10.50am, left the woman trapped.

Fire crews had to cut the roof off the black Renault Clio to free her.

A spokesman from the ambulance service confirmed she had suffered a leg injury, and was taken to King's College Hospital in London by air ambulance at 12.20pm.

The road reopened at 3.40pm.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 10.47am on Thursday 8 February 2018 regarding a report that black Renault Clio had struck a tree on Nizel’s Lane.

"Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where a woman in her 30s was treated for injuries that are described as serious. She was taken to a London hospital for further medical attention.

"Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen car immediately before or during the collision, or who have dashcam footage to get in contact."
