Appeal after child grabbed in King Street, Chatham

Officers investigating a report that a child was grabbed in Chatham have released a computer generated image of a man they wish to speak to.

It is reported that between noon and 12.18pm on Tuesday, July 25, a male cyclist approached the child and her mother in King Street.

He is reported to have grabbed the child before the mother intervened.

The man is described as being black and between 6ft and 6ft 2ins tall with dark, scruffy hair.

At the time he was wearing grey jeans, with a rip on the right leg, and a green puffa coat.

He was also wearing white Nike trainers. He was last seen heading down Cross Street, in the direction of Medway Maritime Hospital.
