Fire fighters tackle stable blaze in Meresborough Lane Rainham

A fire has completely destroyed a stable block in Rainham.

Firefighters rushed to the scene in Meresborough Lane at about 10.45pm on Wednesday, March 15 to reports of a blaze.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze with a jet and hose reel and kept watch over night to make sure the fire did not reignite.

The fire destroyed the building, hay bales and agricultural machinery.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is unknown.
