Britain's Got Talent winning Collabro will join Royal Philharmonic on stage at Rochester's Castle Concerts Proms

Winners of 2014 Britain's Got Talent will perform in Kent next year.

Collabro will join the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra as a finale to the Castle Concerts series in Rochester, which will run next summer.

Tickets are on sale today for the event which will also include performances from classical artist Laura Wright, who has sold a million albums and performed at a number of high profile sporting events.

The event at Rochester Castle Gardens on Saturday, July 13, will see crowds treated to a selection of James Bond soundtracks, followed by all the classical hits of a traditional Proms finale including The 1812 Overture, Fantasia on British Sea Songs, Rule Britannia and Jerusalem.

Medway Council’s Portfolio Holder for community services Cllr Howard Doe said: “Next year’s Proms will be a fantastic finale to the Castle Concerts series.

"There will be entertainment for all the family to enjoy at the picnic style event with incredible water fountains and a firework finale. There will also be the opportunity for plenty of flag-waving to iconic classical favourites. Tickets to the Proms would make a lovely Christmas present, with no booking fees.
