Car and tree fire in Wayfield Road, Chatham

Firefighters were called after a car fire spread to a tree in Chatham.

The vehicle went up in flames in Wayfield Road just after 3.30pm.

Crews in two fire engines and raced to the scene and used a hose reel to douse the flames.

Police were also called to help.

A fire service spokesman said: "There were no injuries and the cause is not yet known."
