Help Miss England finalists, an MP and an ex-Top Gear presenter as they support a three-hour karting race to raise money for injured veterans.
On Sunday, September 1, the sixth Back on Track go-kart race will take place at Buckmore Park, Maidstone Road, Chatham.
The annual, and usually star-studded, event launched in 2014 to help injured soldier Mark Allen compete in professional-level kart races with able-bodied drivers.
Back on Track also started raising funds for fellow injured soldier Martyn Compton and since has evolved into a charity with support from celebrities and the armed forces.
Some 30 teams of four drivers will taken on a three-hour race to be Winner 2019 and have their names engraved on the Mark Allen Shield. New for this year is a parade with some familiar faces including The Maidstone Majorettes, Chatham MP Tracey Crouch, two Miss England contestants and ex-Top Gear presenter Rory Reid.
Keep your eyes peeled for celebrities including presenter Melinda Messenger and EastEnders’ star Gillian Taylforth.
Tickets are £185 each or sponsor a team for £740. The day starts at 9am and should finish at 4pm. There will also be a prize draw.
