Unbeaten Chatham heavyweight boxer Tom Dallas is being pressed into taking a trip to America by his promoter Frank Maloney.

Maloney, who helped guide Lennox Lewis to multiple world heavyweight titles, is predicting big things from Dallas, pictured, and wants him to hone his skills across the Atlantic.

He said: "I want Tom to spend a couple of weeks in America at a gym I have in Los Angeles.

"He would get some of the best sparring possible and be working with some of the best coaches in America."

Maloney has already sent his other young hopeful David Price for training in the States and believes that he has two of the best emerging talents in Britain under his banner.

"Between the pair of them I would be disappointed if they didn’t deliver a world title," said a bold Maloney. "Other than David Price, there is nobody else in Britain that Tom has to fear."

Dallas has an unblemished professional fight record and powered to his 14th victory last week with a third round knockout of Hungarian Gabor Farkas at Medway Park.

"I would say that he is probably the most exciting heavyweight at the moment," Maloney added. "I would be disappointed if he didn’t go on to win a European title at least."
