Brit Award nominee Craig David will headline this year’s Castle Concert series we can reveal this morning.
The 7 Days singer will be performing at the Rochester castle concert series on Thursday, July 13 and the venue.
The gig forms part of his long awaited UK tour, which kicks off tonight, in Cardiff.
Sixteen years after his debut album Born To Do It reached number one, Craig’s back at the top with his latest album, Following My Intuition which flew straight to the number one spot in the official albums chart when it was released last year.
With a fan base spanning decades, tickets for this open air gig with one of Britain’s best male solo artists, are expected to sell out quickly, as the new generation are also listeing to his music with fresh ears.
Craig’s music looks set to spark euphoric nostalgia in older fans who have long awaited his return to the stage.
During the gig at Rochester fans can expect all the classics and hits from his latest album.
Craig said: “I’m really looking forward to playing at Rochester Castle, there’s always something special about playing outside in the English summer.”
Head of events at Medway Council, Cllr Howard Doe, said: “This show is going to be a real treat for fans.
“The small and unique venue creates a wonderful atmosphere, quite an exclusive feel as only a lucky few get their hands on tickets compared to larger arenas like the O2.
“I know we always say it, but those who want to get their hands on tickets need to be quick in order to avoid disappointment.”
Tickets for his concert go on sale at 10am on Thursday, March 30. There are three ways to buy tickets, by visiting www.thecastleconcerts.co.uk, or calling the box office on 01634 338338.
