Crash between van and car on M2 near Gillingham causes delays

A crash between a van and a car on the M2 this evening has caused delays for motorists.

The crash happened on the London-bound carriageway near to the Medway Services, near Gillingham.

The accident has left one lane closed as the van ended up on the side of the motorway stuck in some undergrowth.

It has led to delays between Junction 5 for Sittingbourne and Junction 6 for Gillingham.

It is thought the van was in collision with a silver taxi and police and Highways officers are at the scene.

It is not thought anyone was seriously injured.
