A two-car crash, which trapped two people, has closed Capstone Road.

Two people were left trapped in their car after the collision in Gillingham at 10.45am today.

Emergency services including firefighters, paramedics and police were called to the scene.

Firefighters had to cut off the roof of a car to remove the casualties for treatment by paramedics.

A Kent Police spokesman said officers closed the road at the junction of Pear Tree Lane and it will remain shut until the Highways Agency has cleared the spilt oil.
