Crash in Cuxton

A van driver had to be cut out of his vehicle after a crash late on Tuesday night .

Firefighters and paramedics were called out to the roundabout at the top of Sundridge Hill in Cuxton, after the two vehicle crash, which happened at about 11.10pm.

It is thought the van driver may have suffered a neck injury during the collision so as a precaution, firefighters cut part of the van open so the driver could be extricated on a long board to prevent further injury.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service, said: "The young driver of the van was complaining of pain in his neck so we cut away part of the van bulk so we could help paramedics lift him out on a long board and then he was taken to hospital.

"The driver of the other car was not injured, we were on the scene for about 40 minutes."
