Fox cub rescued by firefighters in Milton Road, Gillingham

Firefighters rescued a fox cub this morning after its head got stuck in a Pringles tube.

A crew was called to Milton Road in Gillingham at 7.45am after a member of the public spotted the animal in distress.

A fire service spokesman said: “The baby fox was struggling to breathe. We were called as we have animal oxygen masks and an animal resuscitation kit.”

Firefighters were able to pull the tube off of the cub’s head but once freed the animal ran away.
