Cyclist injured in accident on Medway City Estate, Strood

Ambulance crews have treated a cyclist at the roadside after he was knocked off his bike.

It happened at around 12.30pm on the roundabout between Anthonys Way and Sir Thomas Longley Road on the Medway City Estate.

The man, who is thought to have been hit by a car, was seen lying in the road whilst paramedics attended to him.

Traffic was diverted the wrong way around the roundabout and access to Neptune Close was blocked.

The man was taken away in the ambulance at around 1pm and was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with back pains.
