Medway City Estate crash driver taken to hospital after collision with lorry on Anthonys Way

A driver crashed into the back of a lorry on Medway City Estate after a "medical incident".

The motorist, driving a silver Honda, collided with the HGV near the Whitewall Road roundabout in Anthonys Way at about 11.30am yesterday.

The person was treated at the scene by paramedics and was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital by ambulance.

Police were called to direct traffic.

It has not been confirmed whether the driver was seriously injured.

Police spokesman Martin Very said: "Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where a man received medical attention and was then conveyed to a local hospital.

"Kent Fire and Rescue Service also attended to assist with recovery of the vehicles and the road reopened at around 2pm."
