Emergency services called to Cliffe Road, Wainscott after driver crashes into pole at junction with Slatin Road

A driver was treated for minor injuries after crashing into a pole on a busy street during rush hour.

Emergency services were scrambled to Cliffe Road, Wainscott yesterday evening.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene, near the junction with Slatin Road, shortly before 6pm.

A driver was treated for minor injuries. No action was required by fire crews who also attended.

The incident caused delays in the area with long tailbacks towards Strood until the road was cleared around three hours later.
