A drug dealer caught with dozens of wraps of heroin and cocaine has been jailed for six years.
Shannon Ranger was arrested after police stopped a black Mercedes in Canterbury Street, Gillingham on January 26.
They were suspicious when they saw nobody in the front passenger seat next to the driver, but two people in the back seat.
They searched the car after noticing a smell of cannabis, and found mobile phones and a wrap of cocaine.
Ranger, 21, was one of the backseat passengers and was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
In custody, he was found hiding 31 wraps of cocaine and 29 wraps of heroin.
Ranger, of Mount Pleasant Lane, Hackney, pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and was given two three-year sentences to run consecutively at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday.
Detective Inspector Gary Scarfe said: "Ranger’s arrest was one of more than 50 arrests made across the county during a week of action to disrupt and target those involved in the supply of drugs and other offences linked to possible gang-related crime in Kent.
"We recognise the detrimental effect drugs and drug-dealing can have on a community and our officers will continue their work to identify those who are involved in this criminal activity and bring them before the courts."
