Football-mad Markus Sadler will get an extra special birthday present, by walking out at Wembley with the England team.
The Balfour Junior School pupil, who turns seven on Sunday, will be a mascot for the game against Belgium tomorrow (Saturday).
It’s the team’s last game before heading to Poland and Ukraine for Euro 2012, led by new manager Roy Hodgson.
But that’s not all. In addition to walking out at the country’s national stadium with his heroes, Markus will be bound for eastern Europe just like them.
Markus, who plays in goal for Aylesford Football Club, will be a mascot for England’s first game of the tournament against France on Monday, June 11 in Donetsk, Ukraine.
He lives in Park Crescent, Chatham, with parents Jerome and Elisabeth.
Manchester City fan Markus said: "It is going to be an amazing experience, I can’t wait.
Lucky Markus won the opportunity of a lifetime after his dad Jerome entered a competition run by McDonald’s.
Jerome, 41, who works as an IT manager, said Markus was hopeful of walking out with his hero Joe Hart, who plays in goal for Manchester City.
