This is the first picture of the dramatic river rescue at Halling after a boy plunged off a towpath on his bike.

It was taken by Tony Mason from Halling, who was one of the onlookers including the stricken youngster's mother, who witnessed emergency services battling to save the 14-year-old as the tide came in.

He's now recovering in hospital Saturday afternoon's drama as first reported in our Monday edition.
